Description for route of synthesis:
Dissolve 4-benzylpiperazin-2,6-dione in methanol, add 10% palladium on carbon catalyst, and perform a catalytic hydrogenolysis reaction under a hydrogen atmosphere to remove the benzyl protecting group; After the reaction is complete, palladium carbon is removed by filtration, hydrochloric acid is added to the filtrate to form a salt, and the target product piperazine-2,6-dione hydrochloride is obtained by concentration, cooling crystallization, filtration and drying.
