Description of route of sythesis: Starting from 2,5-dibromo-4-methylpyridine and using anhydrous toluene as the solvent, n-butyllithium was added at ultra-low temperature of -78 ℃ to undergo lithium halide exchange reaction. Then dry ice was added for carboxylation reaction, followed by post-treatment purification to obtain 5-bromo-4-methylpyridine-2-carboxylic acid.
