Description for route of synthesis: Under inert gas protection, using tetrahydrofuran as the solvent, methyl triphenylphosphine bromide is first reacted with n-butyl lithium at low temperature to prepare Wittig reagent; Subsequently, acetic acid was added to the system and the Wittig reaction was carried out at controlled temperature to convert the ketone carbonyl group into olefins; After the reaction is completed, the target product 4-methyl-4-pentenoic acid is obtained by quenching, extraction, washing, drying, and purification through vacuum distillation or recrystallization.
