Description of route of synthesis:
Dissolve 4,4-difluorocyclohexanedione in DMF solvent, add potassium cyanide, heat up to undergo addition aromatization reaction, introduce cyanide group and complete aromatic ring reconstruction, while forming phenolic hydroxyl group; After the reaction is complete, cool down and pour the system into water to acidify, precipitate the solid crude product, filter, wash with water, and refine by recrystallization to obtain 2-fluoro-5-hydroxyphenylnitrile.
